Micro Wideband Spectroscopic Analyzer

Lartec developed a high-resolution micro wideband spectrometric analyzer suitable for integration with handheld and mobile devices.

Unlike other spectroscopy devices or modules, which are confined to a single type of spectroscopy, Lartec's module may be used for various spectroscopies.

The high-resolution feature can be employed for Raman spectroscopy. In addition, the wideband tunability of the spectroscopic module may be utilized for spectroscopy that covers a large operating band between UV and short-wavelength IR (SWIR). This working band is four to five times larger than other spectrometer bands on the market.

Lartec is developing an advanced version of the module with an operating band between the UV and long-wavelength IR (LWIR). The module extends the operating bands to a band that conveniently uses Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.

Spectrometers based on Lartec's modules will have a strong impact because they facilitate fusion spectral data from several spectroscopies, providing more information about substances under testing from only one instrument. This feature has a significant advantage in conventional lab applications; it saves instrument cost, lab space, and labor and gives much more reliable data.

The ultra-compact micromodule can be integrated with smartphones and small devices. This integration ability renders the spectrometers suitable for numerous new public applications with high reliability, such as monitoring food quality in your refrigerator or restaurant; extending applications limited to lab environments to make them available in public, such as for home medical diagnoses; and monitoring environmental pollution and agricultural crop health with remote sensing applications, which is possible because of the flexibility of installing micro spectrometers on drones.
